Dance Career Opportunities

PMDC is seeking qualified and certified dance instructors to teach full-time or part-time at our Bridlewood and Walden Campuses in south Calgary.

Discipline, strength, and technique are emphasized in our dance classes and our objective is to help students develop a solid understanding of flexibility, extension, and turnout.

This is an instructional position; extensive dance experience and training is mandatory. Most importantly, we are seeking candidates with a cheerful disposition who like working with people in a busy and family-friendly environment. Responsibilities include preparing and organizing class plans, teaching weekly classes, and creating recital and/or competition choreography.

This position requires commitment from Monday to Friday including late-afternoons and evenings. Full-time employment consists of approximately 20 – 25 hours per week. The official start date of this position is September 1, 2018.

Front Desk Career Opportunities

PMDC is seeking part time administrative staff to work with students, parents, and faculty at our Bridlewood and Walden Campuses in south Calgary.

Responsibilities include answering telephone enquiries, responding to customer emails, processing student registrations, greeting customers, basic bookkeeping, and a variety of additional support activities.

We are seeking candidates with a cheerful disposition who like working with families. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, strong communication skills, basic computer skills (Mac OS and Microsoft Office experience is an asset), and the ability to work in a busy family-friendly environment. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, and able to make a minimum one-year commitment.

This is a non-instructional position; however, some previous dance experience is helpful but not essential. A minimum two years of previous experience in a similar administrative or reception role is preferred.
